Recently I have added some new plants in the front garden beds. Now that the greens of the spring bulbs have died back, I've added some Snapdragons in their place! No easy task considering that you have to dig around the sleeping bulbs. In the new bed I've added some pink Verbena and some new types of Coreopsis. The salmon colored one is "Limerock Dream" and the tiny flowered yellow one is "Moonbeam". I love their delicate little flowers! The Nasturtiums on the deck have started to bloom in shades of yellow, red, and orange. The newly constructed rock garden on the ledge is finished and planted with red Verbena and pink Impatiens. Normally I wouldn't have put pink and red together, but they really seem to complement each other very nicely! The new bed along the neighbors garage is finished. What a digging task that was. Every time I put the shovel in the ground I'd hit a rock! Not always a little rock but a LARGE rock! Some were too large for me to lift! The ones that I could lift became the wall of the rock garden. Today is the first day all week that it's not raining. I'll be out there tonight weeding and planting in the moonlight! New photos will be posted soon. Be sure to check them out!
